What is a WordPress Edit?
A WordPress edit is generally a small task that takes under 30 minutes for our team to complete. This can include: content editing, creating a new page or blog post, installing or changing plugin settings, minor CSS adjustments to fix styling or even website migrations.
This does not include speed optimisation, graphic design, custom development (PHP, JS, themes, plugins, etc.) or building a new website.
While we don’t offer graphic design, we are happy to go the extra mile and perform basic image crops and file reduction to keep your site loading fast when creating new pages or posts.

Is your WordPress care plan really unlimited?
Yes. You will honestly receive unlimited edits as long as you are on the business plan or higher. Depending on the task complexity, support can sometimes be slower. However, you really can make as many requests as you need. Unlimited means unlimited.
What if a WordPress update breaks my site?
Before updating your website, we take a complete backup and a screenshot to see how the site visually looks. We then perform the updates, and our intelligent software compares the before and after screenshots to ensure everything looks as it should.
If an update breaks your site, it will either display error codes or alter the layout. Our tool will automatically roll back to the initial backup before your users realise it.
One of our support team members will investigate what’s causing the issue and fix it.
Can I change my plan?
Yes, whenever you need to!
Downgrading your WordPress Care Plan would mean losing access to some of the premium features you have been using. However, if you are happy to handle the security implications, reach out to us. We will happily change your plan.
You can upgrade, downgrade or even cancel your WordPress management subscription anytime by:
- Submitting a request via your dashboard.
- Emailing our support team directly.
How does support work?
After the team at TechByte have completed the onboarding process, we can start making changes to your website! The onboarding process is typically completed within 24-48 hours.
There are two ways that you can submit a request.
- Submit a ticket via the dashboard in your client portal. Submitting a ticket is the most efficient way, as a ticket will automatically upload to our project management software. Finally, you will receive a notification to inform you once the task is complete.
- Email our support team directly. You will receive this email from our onboarding sequence. Once we see the request, we will email you to confirm it’s added to our project management software. Finally, you will receive a notification to inform you once the task is complete.
Do you clean up malware and remove viruses?
Yes, we can remove malware from your WordPress website depending on which WordPress care package you purchase.
Our business plan will remove basic malware on sites with an active subscription before the malware infected the site.
Our executive plan features complete malware removal. This plan is best for website owners whose site is already infected before having an active subscription.
TechByte does not do one-time malware removal. Therefore, we are best suited to website owners that want to maintain a secure site that is clean and safe.
Where do you store backups?
All backups are stored on our secure Amazon S3 cloud storage. As standard, this is stored within the United States. Still, you can upgrade to EU storage through the checkout process to ensure your website remains GDPR compliant.
What happens after purchasing?
The onboarding procedure will start immediately after purchasing your chosen WordPress management package.
Step 1: Welcome Email
Shortly after purchasing your WordPress care plan, you will receive our welcome email. The email will include details on how to log in to your dashboard, how to submit tickets, other ways to contact our support team, and how to send us your login information securely.
Step 2: Complete backup
After securely sending us your login details, our team will take a complete backup of your WordPress installation—the backup will include all of your core files and database.
We will always take a backup before doing any work or updates on your site.
Step 3: Onboarding Begins
Now that we have an initial backup of your site, we can start to work through our “new site checklist.” This includes but is not limited to; checking core WordPress, theme and plugin versions, performing updates, running security scans & performance checks.
After completing our three steps, you will receive an email to let you know that you now have full access to our service, and you can start making requests.
How do I send login details?
Once you have purchased a WordPress Care Package, you will automatically receive a welcome email from TechByte.
This email will explain what details we need you to send as well as how to send them securely through a tool we use. The tool will create a self-destructing link that only our team can see.
Is there a monthly or annual contract?
No, there are no contracts! We understand that things change, and we would never want to tie someone to a contract. However, website security is an ongoing task, so we created a discount for customers who sign up annually.
Can you manage multiple WordPress sites?
It doesn’t matter if you have one or ten sites; TechByte is more than happy to help you manage them.
However, our WordPress care packages were designed to manage a single WordPress installation on one domain/subdomain/directory.
Therefore, if you want us to manage four sites, you must purchase four separate packages. You will be pleased to know each site can choose its own package based on its individual requirements.
